Production Notes
This episode was shot for the most part in one day. We set up the bridge at its new location, Christians house on the Saturday night. Everyone met up again on the Sunday at 2pm and shot all the bridge scenes by 6pm.
We made our way to Old Montreal where we shot the "Sporks" scene. This went rather smoothly seeing as Ture and Christian had been to the location the previous week to scope out where the lights would be placed and where other shots would take place. A very special thanks to Sathish Ramachandran for letting us use his bar! After filming, we came back home, disassembled the bridge and drank beer. (what else is new?!?)
Weekend 2 was the shuttlepod scene. Ryan, Matt and Dev were present and we shot the scenes in the span of 2 hours. Most voiceovers were done this night too. After wraping up filming of the episode, a party ensued. Ah the benefits of accomplishing something.
The post production took roughly 3 weeks to complete. Erik Kuras, our CGI artist had been working on the episode since the release of episode 18, and he didn't disappoint this time around. Every time we'd get a new render, we'd ask ourselves how one man with so little computing power at his disposal could accomplish so much! The premiere took place almost a month after shooting, and the reviews were great. Laughs all around and a good old fashioned good time was had by all. Here's to Star Track 19!
